A Conservative Listens to NPR Radio?

I am a dichotomy. This is a division into two mutually exclusive, opposed, or contradictory groups. I am a conservative that listens to NPR radio. I listen for the music. In my area, the NPR stations are the only ones that play jazz and classical music. I do not listen to the programming from NPR. I have to turn it off at the top of the hour, and don't listen to the news, so I guess you could say I am a selective listener.
The other times I do not listen is during pledge break. According to them, that makes me a free-loader. I enjoy some of the benefits without paying for them. My attitude is, "Hey, if it comes in free over my radio, I'm not paying for it." During the pledge-drive, they play interviews with satisfied listeners.  I heard one of these listeners say these words. "I don't know what I would do without NPR radio. I can't imagine being without it." Really? I think you would survive. You mean to tell me with all the news outlets we have today, I can't believe you can't find another liberal biased source of news and information.
My musical tastes have changed over the years, from classic rock, country, new wave, and then to jazz. On these stations I can find out about the latest jazz releases, and hear songs I don't always here on any other station in my area. This is why I listen to NPR radio, even though my political views are polar opposites.
